Does it matter if I’m wearing clothing?

Yes, wearing clothing will affect the voltage drop you will get once grounded. For example, making direct skin contact will give you a bigger voltage drop, than if you were wearing jeans. We have tested our grounding sheet wearing thin cotton pyjamas and the drop was hardly affected, so wearing thin clothes, socks or tights is OK.
